Now is the time to invest in the future, to invest in wildlife. Improved habitat increases wildlife abundance and sightings and for today’s modern American hunter, expectations afield are higher than ever before. So, joining The Revolution with Jim and Trav this week for an exclusive, in-depth, two-part interview to discuss Habitat Rehab will be famed whitetail and conservation expert Lee Lakosky from Crush with Lee & Tiffany. Plus, Parmalee’s front man, Matt Smith from Outside Tracks on Outdoor Channel and Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV and Side-by-Side Group Marketing Manager. The Revolution with Jim and Trav is proudly presented by Outdoor Channel, Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network and MyOutdoorTV.

Consistent success when hunting and harvesting mature whitetails comes down to more than just blind luck, it’s all about management. Lee Lakosky of Crush with Lee and Tiffany on Outdoor Channel, joins Jim and Trav this week to talk about effective management tools. In an extended two-part interview, Lee will discuss the benefits and pitfalls of a land/hunting co-op. While it may give hunters access to more acreage to hunt, Lee cautions that you need to be sure all members of the co-op have the same management goals. He’ll then dive into food plots. Lee says diversity is important in the crops you choose to plant so that there is something for deer to choose from at different times of the year on your property. While there may be row crops surrounding your property, Lee says not to let that discourage you from planting the same thing in your food plots. Farmers will harvest their crops in the fall and deer will turn to the browse that is available and still standing in your plots. Don’t miss a jam-packed interview with great tips on creating new food plots, purchasing land, timber stand improvement, creating cover with hinge cutting, planting trees and so much more.

Outside Tracks is a new series on Outdoor Channel that is giving viewers an inside look into the lives of rising recording artists with a passion for music and the outdoors. Matt Thomas is the lead singer and guitarist of the country rock band Parmalee and he will join The Revolution this week to talk about the debut of this new series. “We’re avid outdoorsmen and we love hunting and fishing, and Outside Tracks was a great pairing for us and what we do.” Matt will talk with Jim and Trav about the band’s country upbringing, their outdoor lifestyle and how this Platinum-selling band of brothers got their start in the music industry.

An ATV or Side-by-Side can be an invaluable tool to have when working and recreating outdoors. Steve Nessl, Yamaha’s ATV and SxS Group Marketing Manager, joins The Revolution this week with a look at the capabilities of their line up and how they can assist you. Side-by-sides give users the ability to do projects where you need more than one person and a cargo box full of gear. The Yamaha Viking features an assisted dump box capable of handling 600 pounds and has an impressive tow rating of 1500 pounds. Steve says, “It’s about customization. The Viking really affords itself as a blank canvas to start and then you can add to it. It’s a tool to be used whenever, however, all year long.” If you’re looking for a single passenger or a more compact solution, Steve says the Yamaha Kodiak fits the bill. He’ll explain the differences between the Kodiak and the Grizzly, their design, and their impressive hauling and towing capabilities. Finally, Steve will highlight the Yamaha Outdoor Access Initiative and how Yamaha is investing in the outdoors and promoting safe, responsible use and open, sustainable access.
